About the role

Able is looking for a DevOps Engineer who will be responsible for the infrastructure of our system, implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and continiously improve our solutions as a crucial member of the cross-functional team, that aim to deliver results in a consistent, sustainable way. The successful candidate will have a passion for innovation, staying up-to-date with emerging technologies, and excellent communication and collaboration skills to work in a cross-functional team in a remote environment.

What you'll do

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to automate the provisioning and scaling of infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Container Orchestration: Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters for deploying, scaling, and managing containerized applications. Utilize Helm for efficient package management and deployment of applications on Kubernetes.

• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security. Leverage tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions to streamline the build, test, and deployment phases.

• Monitoring and Logging: Set up and maintain monitoring and logging systems for applications and infrastructure using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack to ensure system performance, availability, and security.

• Database Management: Administer and optimize databases, specifically Postgres, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical data. Additionally manage and configure Redis for efficient caching and data storage, ensuring optimal performance of applications.

• Security Practices: Implement and enforce security best practices throughout the development and deployment process. Maintain GDPR and HIPAA compliance of the infrastructure.

About you

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer or a similar role.
  Cloud Platform: Solid experience with GCP or AWS, including proficiency in managing resources and services.

• Container Orchestration: Strong expertise in Kubernetes and Helm for managing containerized applications.

• Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency in Terraform for automating infrastructure provisioning and management.

• Database Skills: Hands-on experience with Postgres database administration and optimization.

• CI/CD: Proven experience in setting up and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.

• Scripting and Automation: Scripting skills in any language and a commitment to automating repetitive tasks.

• Monitoring and Logging: Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.

• Security: Understanding of security best practices in a DevOps environment.

• English level: Intermediate or higher

• Advanced Networking: Knowledge of networking concepts and experience in configuring and optimizing network settings.

• Multi-Cloud Experience: Exposure to working with other cloud providers besides GCP.

• Microservices Architecture: Understanding of microservices architecture and its implications on DevOps practices.

• Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
