Your missions
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Program Manager for External Communications to lead our strategic communication efforts targeting external stakeholders. As a key member of our communications team, you will drive the development and execution of our external communication strategies, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging across various channels. You will be responsible for liaising with cross-functional teams and cultivating strong relationships with external partners to enhance our corporate reputation and effectively engage with our target audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement the overall external communication strategy aligned with our corporate positioning and organizational goals.
- Identify key communication objectives and target audiences, ensuring messages are tailored and impactful.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Establish and maintain relationships with our agency, external partners, including media outlets, influencers, industry analysts, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify partnership opportunities and execute joint communication initiatives.
- Brand and Reputational Management
- Ensure consistent messaging across external communication channels, including press releases, media interviews, speaking engagements, and social media.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of corporate guidelines and ensure adherence to standards in all external communication materials.
- Communication Execution
- Lead the creation and distribution of press releases, media statements, and other external communication materials
- Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to gather insights and develop compelling external content, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Crisis Communication
- Develop and implement corporate crisis communication strategies to address potential issues that may impact our reputation
- Analytics and Reporting
- Monitor and track the effectiveness of external communication strategies and campaigns, providing regular reports and insights to leadership.
- Utilize data-driven insights to optimize communication strategies and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in external communication, or related roles, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of current trends in external communication, media relations, and brand management.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for different audiences and channels.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience managing crisis communication and handling sensitive issues.
- Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, such as press release distribution systems, social media management tools, and media monitoring software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and use insights to drive decision-making.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working with or within cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and achieving shared goals.
- High level of adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.

Cash compensation range: 109000-152000 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, all HubSpotters are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
