With the Contextual Security platform, deviceTRUST enables to work with secure digital workspaces from any location, with any device, over any network and at any time. Our employees are our strength, with their passion, they are always creating new solutions and actively writing our success story. Become a part of our team and help us to drive our customers' Zero Trust strategies forward.
We’re searching for a developer to look after our Linux product. More than this, we’re really looking for someone who has the attitude to drive our Linux product forward to meet our company ambitions. Whether you’re an experienced Linux developer, or if you’ve gained experience on other platforms and have an interest in Linux, this position could be for you.

As a Linux developer, you’ll join a skilled development team that look after a cross-platform code base that brings together solutions to enhance Windows, Ubuntu, macOS, iOS, ChromeOS and various Linux based thin clients. Our code base on Linux is entirely C/C++ driven by a CMake build system.

You will be joining us at an exciting time; we have an ambitious roadmap to deliver the next generation of our current product. You’ll be working as part of an agile team on all parts of the development lifecycle with a clear goal ahead.

Our UK office is situated at Sci-Tech Daresbury just off Junction 11 of the M56, with easy access from Warrington, Manchester, Liverpool or Chester. We offer flexible working hours from home or from our Daresbury office.

As a member of our development team your responsibilities will include:

  • The design and development of the Linux components of a multi-platform application that aligns with our product roadmap and customer needs.• Utilize your skills in C/C++ programming to write efficient, clean, testable, and maintainable code whilst adhering to enterprise-level security and compliance requirements.
  • Participate actively in code reviews, providing valuable feedback to maintain code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks, optimizing application performance to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in Linux technologies, libraries, and best practices to drive innovation within the team.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, including design specifications, architecture diagrams, and user guides.
  • Proactively diagnose and resolve software issues, collaborating with the support team to deliver timely solutions.
At deviceTRUST, we believe that your professional attitude is more important than specific technical skills. If you’re missing any of these then we still want to hear from you – we’ll offer support to help you overcome any gaps.

  • Industry experience as an enterprise application developer, preferably on the Linux platform.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages, with a deep understanding of Linux-specific APIs and libraries.
  • Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented principles.
  • Experience working with multi-platform code bases and maintaining code consistency across different operating systems.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of endpoint security, visibility, and compliance solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, working as part of a team or on independent projects.
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio Code, Git, CMake or Azure DevOps.
If you are a motivated Linux developer with a passion for the Linux platform and a strong background in C/C++, we encourage you to apply and join our team at deviceTRUST. Help us shape the future of Zero-Trust. Apply now and be a part of our exciting journey!
