The Innovation Team at SamCart is focused on helping make entrepreneurship easy. We’ve launched two products. First is CreatorU, an e-learning platform which coaches creators along their journey. Second is Typeset, an AI-powered design and content creation platform.
SamCart is looking for an innovative, dedicated, and experienced Software Engineer to join our growing Typeset Engineering team in the UK. In this role, you will design, implement, test, and release new features. Using modern tools and methodologies, you will leverage deep technical knowledge to ensure simplicity, changeability, and longevity in our codebases.
Responsibilities
- An owner in the development and health of Typeset.
- Develop, test, and deploy features across the application stack.
- Follow best practices like test-driven development, refactoring, and simple design.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure features achieve business goals and meet usability and experience standards.
- Pair effectively with other engineers to deliver high-quality code.
- Author technical documentation for workflows and processes.
Qualifications
- Expertise in modern software development with React and Node.js. Experience with TypeScript and Next.js would be a plus.
- Expert ability to structure and work with complex CSS highly desirable.
- Expert knowledge of multiple programming languages, including JavaScript.
- Experience at an early stage startup or other high paced environment is preferred.
- Experience developing and deploying software in a containerized environment.
- At least 1-3 years of professional experience building software applications leveraging web application frameworks.
