Being a successful online media company requires the latest and best in technology. The Core Engineering Team is a collection of Engineers and Data Scientists working on the technology that comprises a constellation of systems that collect and process data, conduct segmentation, generate predictive analytics, and power ad-targeting and content customization.

Responsibilities

You’ll be working in an AWS and Google Cloud-based Linux environment in Python, SQL, Javascript, and HTML.

You’ll be using technologies including Kafka, Casandra, Docker, Amazon Redshift, Spark, Nginx, RabbitMQ, Celery, and ElasticSearch as well as a host of in-house-developed systems to push our capabilities further as we grow our audience.

You will need to be comfortable with familiarizing yourself with new technologies, critical problem solving, and non-webserver-based backend systems. The Linux terminal bends to your will.

You’ll be working with partners including Google, Salesforce, BlueKai and LiveRamp.

We use Agile methodology and git-based source control.

Environment

We have a relaxed, fun office that is low in corporate politics and high in cooperation. (We've mostly been working from home since the pandemic, but it's been an easy transition as most of us worked from home a few days each week beforehand.) The Core team is small and highly collaborative. However, we move quickly to add features to our systems, ship functionality, and support various custom requests. Our services are in demand across the organization.
