Financial Accountant - 12 Months FTC

The financial accountant will work as part of the International financial reporting team, focusing on the Australian market. The team coordinates forecast and all reporting functions across all business units for Publicis Sapient Australia. This includes monthly, quarterly, and annual performance. The financial accountant will be responsible for the end-to-end finance function for a subsidiary of PS, including AP/AR and reconciliations to trial balance. The role will also help with timely variance analysis, KPI/metric reporting, and special projects as needed.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Review and entry of debtor and creditor invoices using Hubdocs, Xero and Kimble.
• Reconciliation of the account, including daily bank and end-of-month/quarter reconciliation to trial balance.
• Working with the Controllership teams in monthly and quarterly closes to provide significant variances to budget/forecast and explain if needed.
• Consolidate financial reports from the business unit by rolling up inputs and reaching out for commentary when required.
• Ensure efficiency and consistency of planning across divisions.
• Proactively considering improvements to existing processes and how new decisions will impact existing processes' operations. Have a "can do" attitude.
• Ensure business is running smoothly and efficiently regarding financial processes and operations.
• Accurate and timely submission of all reports in compliance with Groupe's deadline.
• Ad hoc analysis, projects, and other duties as assigned.

• 3-5 years of financial accounting experience
• Professional services environment experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially in MS Excel.
• Experience in Salesforce highly regarded.
• Committed, detail-oriented, self-starter with strong problem-solving and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects/initiatives on tight schedules and timelines.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical, solution-oriented thinking.
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Education

• Degree qualification in Accounting or Commerce.
• CPA-qualified
