Summary:
The Healthcare IT Application Specialist is responsible for supporting client implementations, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with healthcare processes and regulations. This position involves working closely with both internal teams and external clients to facilitate the setup, customization, and deployment of healthcare applications.
Responsibilities:
- Client Implementations:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their unique healthcare requirements.
- Customize and configure IT applications according to specific healthcare protocols and standards.
- Lead or assist in the implementation of software solutions, ensuring successful integration with existing systems.
- Provide training and support to end-users on the newly implemented systems
- Technical Support:
- Troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues during and post-implementation.
- Work closely with technical teams to address system bugs and enhancements.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for implementation processes, user guides, and system configurations.
- Provide regular updates and reports to clients and internal implementation project management regarding system configuration status and user setup performance metrics.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in healthcare IT.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
- Recommend improvements to implementation methodologies and client support processes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in healthcare IT, specifically in application implementation and support.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Health Information Technology Certification (HITC) are preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of healthcare industry regulations and standards.
- Excellent technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on customer service.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
- Occasional travel may be required for on-site client support.
