If you have yacht operations management experience, and know your way around a yacht, we want to hear from you!

Join one of the world’s leading yacht charter companies in an exciting role where you will be responsible for owning the Caribbean region to achieve and exceed safety, Net Promoter Score (NPS), and profit targets. Whilst remaining accountable for technical elements you will have the opportunity to lead people, further develop our customer service offering, improve process efficiency, and look after finances for bases within the region.

It's worth noting this role offers the opportunity for frequent travel between our Caribbean bases, roughly three out of four weeks per month. The ideal candidate will be based in the Bahamas or the US (in the East coast time zone), however we will also consider candidates who are already based or are willing to relocate to one of our base locations in the Caribbean. We also welcome applications from around the world and will support with gain work authorizations.

What you’ll be doing: Yacht Operations

  • Build and lead robust plans for the region to ensure customer happiness is improved and all related NPS targets are achieved
  • Drive strict adherence to the company’s standard operating procedures for both charter and resort operations
  • Drive the accurate maintenance and readiness of all yachts for charter including all onboard systems, rigging, inventory and hull structures per company policy and procedures. This includes management of routine and preventative maintenance
  • To work in sync with health and safety standards (using our safety management system and incident management plan), and partnering with local authorities on yacht licenses and regulations, following employment laws and labor code
  • Be on call 24/7 for any emergency
  • Lead agreed property refurbishment and new build projects, and maintain the property preventative maintenance program within agreed budgets
  • Represent our business and maintain positive relationships with government bodies and associations

People

  • Partner with Senior People Business Partner - Caribbean to create robust people and resourcing plans to build strong engagement across an impactful team, dealing with issues as required, maintaining accurate employee records e.g. absence, pay etc.
  • Ensure objectives and reviews are completed on time, whilst also providing mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to your teams
  • Encourage collaboration within the team, driving outstanding customer service and positive third party relations

Financial

  • Partner with the Finance Manager to agree and monitor annual cost and CAPEX budgets, reviewing monthly profit and loss expenses
  • Drive and review third party revenue
  • Work compliantly and have control over financial processes and procedures including invoice approvals, damages and losses, and third party contracts and performance

What we are looking for:

  • Working or holidaying experience in the Caribbean
  • Experience within a technical yachting role with an understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and rigging
  • Evidence of bringing people together within an operations management role
  • Able to use computer software programs such as Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook, reservation systems and/or internet based data centers.
  • Experience of leading people, applying phenomenal communication skills through verbal and written formats with proficiency presenting budgets, financial reports and records
  • Excellent Customer Service experience
