The focus of the Business Development Manager is achieving results that align with the overall business strategy goals. Highly motivated and forward thinking, coupled with a sense of competitive drive are keys to achieving the performance objectives.

The Business Development Manager will help to build and scale long lasting partnerships and relationships. They will be passionate and creative in supporting and helping customers achieve their supply chain goals. Continuous learning and development will drive positive outcomes and provide growth opportunities, recognition and rewards for achieving business results.

Key Responsibilities

You'll be executing our growth strategy by:

  • Targeting named accounts for Zencargo through warm leads, cold prospecting, industry events and social selling
  • Have a robust understanding of sales methodologies (specifically MEDDICC) and sales forecasting
  • Be incredibly structured in your approach to selling, navigating sales pursuits and deal qualification
  • Have demonstrable experience in team selling and quarterbacking complex sales
  • Uncover value in our customers Supply Chain which can be addressed by the Zencargo platform, underpinned by a demonstrable business case.
  • Liaising with Customer Success to ensure we onboard clients the Zencargo Way and maximise the likelihood of a long term and beneficial partnership
  • Gain market insights and trends in order to ensure we continue to build a market leading product which solves our customers most important problems
  • Develop proposals, respond to RFP's and conduct face-to-face sales presentations for prospective customers
  • Develop new client relationships and leverage existing and past client relationships to build and manage a sustained pipeline of opportunities

Skills Knowledge And Expertise

  • 3+ years experience in Sales or Business Development within Logistics / Supply Chain or SaaS
  • Track record of over performance and exceeding quota
  • Sense of urgency for goal achievement
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced and ever changing environment
  • Passion, curiosity and creative problem solving
  • Growth mindset with a passion for learning
  • Strong rapport with relationship building focus
  • Strong prospecting and qualification skills
