JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is looking to hire a fully remote AWS Compliance Architect for a well-known university client. This candidate will need in-depth knowledge of CMMC 2.0 to be able to design, implement, and maintain compliant cloud architectures for the organization. The university is an AWS shop and the right candidate will have extensive hands on experience with AWS. Below are some of the responsibilities the candidate can expect on a day to day:
Responsibilities:
1. Bring in a deep understanding of CMMC Level 2 requirements, staying up-to-date with changes and updates.
2. Design, implement, and maintain compliant cloud architectures for the organization, adhering to industry best practices and CMMC Level 2 requirements.
3. Collaborate with University Compliance offices, other teams, and cloud team members to ensure the organization's cloud infrastructure meets all necessary compliance, security, and performance standards.
4. Assist in the development and maintenance of cloud engineering processes, documentation, and training materials to ensure compliance with CMMC Level 2 requirements.
5. Perform regular audits of the organization's cloud infrastructure, identifying potential vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
6. Coordinate with third-party vendors and partners to ensure their services and products align with the organization's compliance requirements.
7. Provide guidance and expertise on cloud architecture and engineering best practices to other team members.
8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization, fostering a culture of security awareness and compliance.
9. Stay current on cloud security trends and technologies, identifying opportunities for improvement and providing recommendations for enhancements.
10. Assist in incident response and remediation efforts as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1. Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT in general.
2. Minimum 7 years cloud architecture, engineering, and/or compliance
3. In-depth knowledge of CMMC Level 2 requirements and related compliance frameworks.
4. Extensive hands-on experience with AWS
5. Experience in regulatory compliant environments (FERPA, HIPAA, PCI, CUI/ITAR, etc.)
6. Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies and best practices in AWS.
8. Familiarity with cloud security tools, such as Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and Cloud Workload Protection Platforms (CWPP).
9. Experience with Cloud Formation.
10. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
DESIRED SKILLS
1. Security-related certifications, such as CISSP, CCSP, or CISM, are desirable.
2. AWS certifications are desirable
