Our company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cryptocurrency Security Engineer to join our small but dynamic team. As a Cryptocurrency Security Engineer, you will work alongside our senior engineers to design, test and implement security measures for our wallets and infrastructure used with new cryptocurrency protocols. You will be responsible for identifying and mitigating security risks, detecting and responding to potential threats, and conducting audits and reviews of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineers to design and implement secure wallets and infrastructure for use with new cryptocurrency protocols
  • Conduct research and identify potential security risks associated with our systems
  • Develop and implement security measures to mitigate identified risks
  • Work with other teams to design and harden new services
  • Instrument and detect high-signal alerts from our off and on-chain services to provide early indicators of compromise
  • Plan and simulate responses to alerts to minimize the likelihood of production incidents
  • Conduct audits and reviews of our systems, and support engineering teams in fixing any identified vulnerabilities
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in cryptocurrency security and implement new measures as needed


  • Experience working with production environments of any scale
  • Strong interest in exploring new cryptocurrency networks at a low level, including specifications, implementation, and attack vectors
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize the right projects and ship to production
  • Ability to work remotely in the USA

Key Technologies:

  • Golang & Rust
  • Substrate, Tendermint, and the latest protocols
  • Low level system hardening (offline hardware, libraries, and tools)
  • Physical monitoring and security systems

Salary: The base salary range for this position is $100k to $200k. This position is eligible for incentive compensation in the form of a bonus.
