Temporary Contract | 37 hours per week | £45,395 to £49,379 per annum (Grade L) | Norwich

Do you have a passion for delivering high quality HR services? Do you have expertise in providing senior level, expert advice, and guidance on the application of employment frameworks so that operational HR processes are informed by best practice and legislative requirements?

We are looking for a Senior HR consultant to support Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service, leading on the HR delivery people plan and associated workstreams. Operating in a complex, fast paced environment with a variety of external and internal stakeholders, you will be responsible for high level analysis and thinking on a variety of projects. You will need to utilise your high-level advice and guidance skills to support managers across the service. You will be required to formulate and lead on projects, engaging in collaborative thinking identifying suitable solutions to support the workstreams.

You will need a solid understanding of HR processes for Green Book and Grey book (or in the case of the latter an ability to build this knowledge quickly on appointment)A flourish for working in a fast-paced environment with capabilities to balance and support the needs of the emergency services complex requirements, within the sector frameworks.

Reporting to the Strategic HR Business Partner for CES, possessing a can-do approach, will be a self-starter, able to manage their own workload and work flexibly across the HR Service and the Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service.

You will:

  • Have initiative and clear ownership for your deliverables so you require minimal supervision.
  • Be proactive, and actively able to anticipate existing and future needs of the business.
  • Manage and motivate people to meet specified objectives.
  • Be a strong and visible communicator that can build a reputation as a trusted adviser to HR and the business.
  • Be curious and analytical when it comes to assessing how we continuously improve our services.
  • Develop, build and maintain partnerships and networks, both internal and external.
  • Be collaborative and willing at the same time to challenge the status quo.

This post will be a hybrid role with a mix of remote working and office-based working.
