Cyber Security Analyst - €100k + Bonus

Job Overview

The IT Security Risk & Compliance Officer is a key control role within the IT Department and is responsible for management of information security (IS) strategy, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information
  • Identify and define system security requirements
  • Design computer security architecture and develop detail cyber securitydesigns
  • Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols
  • Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks
  • Be an active participant in Security Incident management, both participating and chairing meetings to address actual and potential issues.
  • Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement
  • Assist with Security awareness, including giving training, developing material and presenting at town halls and to senior management.
  • Reporting to Snr. Management, Risk control registers, external and internal audits.

Experiences

  • Proven work experience as a system security engineer or information security engineer, or experienced infrastructure engineer who has a passion for security.
  • Experience in building and maintaining security systems
  • Detailed technical knowledge of database and operating system security
  • Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc.
  • Experience of scripting in a windows environment an advantage.
  • Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools

Competencies

  • Detailed technical knowledge of database and operating system security
  • Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
  • Familiarity with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols
  • Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of PCI requirements and/or data protection regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good negotiation skills, self motivated, results focused.
  • Familiarity working in an environment which uses 3rd party suppliers to host and manage infrastructure an advantage but not essential.
  • Familiarity with Splunk an advantage or other log management tools an advantage but not essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: €90,000.00-€100,022.68 per year
