The role in a nutshell

This is a strategic and visionary product leadership role, responsible for setting out the UNiDAYS group product vision and strategy, aligned to our company vision, group strategy and goals.

As the VP Product, you will work with senior leadership and other stakeholders to define, manage and lead the implementation of our product vision and strategy. You will own the overall product roadmap - working closely with engineering to define product priorities and goals, and enable speed and excellence in product delivery.

Day to day responsibilities
  • Develop, manage and lead the implementation of our product strategy, aligned to our vision, group strategy and goals.
  • Own the overall product roadmap, focusing on long-term strategic outcomes and investing in the products and features that will deliver disproportionate impact / outsized growth.
  • Nurture a customer-centric product culture, further embedding research and actionable insights into our ways of working.
  • Work with group and business unit leadership and other stakeholders, identifying new opportunities for product development as well as areas where our products or services no longer meet the needs of the customer and should be pivoted or sunsetted.
  • Hire, mentor, and lead an effective team across product disciplines including but not limited to product management, product design, and UX research — continuously shaping the optimal organisational structure required to deliver on our product strategy and goals.
  • Maintain close alignment with the engineering team and leadership, to define the product roadmap, priorities, goals, and to estimate the resources needed for delivery.
  • Work closely with the engineering team and leadership to ensure product excellence and speed in delivery, following agile practices and delivering value incrementally.
  • Work with other members of the senior leadership team and management to define and execute the strategy of the company; making informed strategic choices, prioritisation decisions and trade-offs.
  • Agree quarterly management set objectives and their associated KPIs with senior leadership, tracking and reporting progress against these.
  • Lead company-wide and cross-functional strategic initiatives as required.
  • Raise the external profile of the company through participating in events and other speaking engagements.
  • Promote the company and team culture at UNiDAYS through appropriate channels, forums and events.
  • Represent UNiDAYS in discussions with strategic partners and other key external stakeholders.
  • Manage the department budget, aligning investment and costs to company strategy, planning, and quarterly management set objectives.
