Planner

We’re looking for a Planner (Planning Engineer) to join the Highways team in West Midlands. The successful candidate will be working as a member of integrated planning and project controls team, under the direction and leadership of the project planning manager. Location: Flexible working available, where you will be initially based out of one of our offices in Gloucester or Bristol with home working available and some travel to other offices and sites

Contract: Permanent, Fulltime

Responsibilities

As a Planner, you’ll be working within the Highways Major Projects, supporting A417 Missing Link project.

Your day to day will include:

• all aspects of planning, phasing, coordination and sequencing for tenders and live projects
• the incorporation of design, procurement and pre-construction activities into a fully integrated, logic linked programme
• timely and accurate progress updates, development and maintenance of the integrated schedule, and provision of time-related data and analysis

Who are we looking for?

This role of Planner is great for you if have:

• experience in a similar role gained on major projects with a main contractor or design consultancy
• understand and demonstrate knowledge of highways design and construction methodology
• able to develop survey, design and construction programmes based on agreed methodology
• good IT skills and experience of using professional planning tools such as Primavera P6, TILOS and MS Office
